Its horseshoe layout lets everyone look out onto the shared greenery, think barbeques in the summer time and autumn leaves in the fall. The Irwin Cottages are located near everything you could need, Trader Joe's, Safeway, and Whole Foods are all within walking distance, Ashby BART, UC Berkeley, and the Rockridge shopping district a short drive or walk. You’ll find Emeryville just down San Pablo Street where there’s Ikea and an outdoor shopping center, Bay Street. Up Telegraph, towards campus there are countless vintage shops, boutiques, cheap eats and street vendors. If you drive the opposite direction down Telegraph you’ll hit the Uptown District of Oakland which is home to the Fox Theater and a thriving night life.
